Investors Blocks for Shadcn UI

Investor sections work harder than they look. They tell a story about who is betting on you—and indirectly, who else should. Done well, they earn trust without bragging. Done poorly, they read like a slide from a deck.

Names matter more than logos. Quotes matter more than names.

Patterns

Investor sections are part trust signal, part cap-table flex. The pattern depends on whether the names or the firms carry the weight in your story.

  1. Logo grid with a short narrative above ("Backed by founders and operators from…")
  2. Named investors with photo, role, and where they’re from
  3. Investor quotes alongside their photo and firm
  4. Tiered list (lead, follow, angels) for transparency

When to show what

Investor sections age. What worked at seed will look thin at Series B and self-promotional at Series D—revisit it every time you raise.

  • Pre-seed and seed: name your angels and operator investors—logos alone read empty
  • Series A+: lead with named firms; back it with a couple of advisor names
  • Bootstrapped: skip this section entirely; show customers instead

Accessibility

Logo grids and portrait grids both have an accessibility tax. Real text equivalents and high contrast are the minimum—not extras to add later.

  • Use real text alongside logos so screen readers can announce names
  • Provide alt text describing the firm or person
  • Keep the contrast ratio high—a faded grey logo grid often fails AA contrast
  • Make any "read more" or quote-expand controls keyboard reachable

Copy and content

Investor copy is the easiest place to drift into hype. Specifics keep the section credible and let real moments do the work that adjectives can’t.

  • Avoid the word "trusted by" if no one is actually trusting—you, in this case, are
  • Quotes work best when they describe a specific moment ("They shipped our integration in 2 days") rather than vague praise
  • Don’t mix customer logos and investor logos in the same row—the meaning collapses

Performance

This block is always media-heavy and almost never above the fold. Lazy-load aggressively and don’t pay the bandwidth cost on the first paint.

  • Use next/image with explicit dimensions for portraits and logos
  • Serve SVG logos when available; rasterized logos at small sizes look soft
  • Lazy-load below-the-fold rows
